The 18-Book Saga
The Matchman comics follow an 18-issue arc – from the first rescue in New York City to global conflicts and emotional reconciliations. Issues 1–8 are fully illustrated legacy books; Issues 9–18 are fully scripted and ready for visual production.
Issue #1 – Matchman Conquers All
The debut story. Matchman rescues an anonymous heroine on the Upper West Side, helps her find her perfect match via VALentine Complex – and faces Dr. Dejection and an army of Anticupids in Union Square.
Issue #2 – Anybody Got a Matchman?
Two South Asian nations slide into war under Discordia’s golden apple influence. Matchman is dispatched to end the conflict – but first he must confront his attraction to Discordia herself.
Issue #3 – Game, Set and Matchman
Pop diva Selena Moped and actor Bim Azlikk are breaking up – while secretly carrying government documents in her wardrobe. Super Ficial! and El Burro Bandito move in, and Matchman must save both love and national security.
Issue #4 – A Match Made in Heaven
Discordia infiltrates a city school as a substitute teacher and uses her apple to turn the children into an army of soulless bullies. Clementine and Corbin flee to warn VALentine Complex, and Matchman must face both Discordia and his own feelings.
Issue #5 – Legacy Book Five
A mid-saga adventure expanding the Matchman universe and deepening the relationship between VALentine Complex and the global political landscape.
Issue #6 – Legacy Book Six
Another fully written and drawn legacy issue, ready to be remastered in the new Hybrid visual style for publication and animation.
Issue #7 – Legacy Book Seven
The legacy series continues to introduce new villains and challenges for Matchman, with strong episodic plots ideal for streaming adaptation.
Issue #8 – Legacy Book Eight
The final legacy book closes the first production phase and sets up the second half of the saga, which is fully scripted and ready for illustration.
